Marcel is to SWITCHBACK, what Don Henley is to the Eagles. In addition to being a talented drummer, he also has a great set of lead vocal pipes.

Since the age of 8 he was banging away in the kitchen on the pots and pans... until one day he saw his uncle (at the time, a DJ / drummer ) in the basement playing drums to a KISS tune... Thus what started a life-long love for playing drums.

Loving every kind of music he can get his ears on, his drumming was self-taught. In his teens he picked up a guitar and started strumming away to some tunes from The Eagles. Singing practically since he was born, he became a real crowd pleaser with his well known band No Strings Attached, along with his very good friend Freddy Brass, who later joined the band. Between 1995 and 2007 he became one of the West Island most sought-after drummers to sub with any act.

While living in Toronto for 2 years, Marcel studied music and has played with many bands over his 20 year career. He has even jammed with Montreal's Jazz Festival... YOWZAH!

Marcel's main influences have been from California rock bands like The Eagles and The Doobie Brothers as well as R & B and Disco bands from the 60's and 70's.
