Freddie is one of two original Switchback members along with Fred Cantor . His story has been told a thousand times before. Freddie played in "garage" bands during high school and then laid his guitar to rest for around twenty years. Around 10 years ago, he got a call that some old friends were getting together to play in a basement "just for fun"! Problem was, no one played bass. Freddie volunteered and hasn’t touched those skinny strings since!

Freddie was born and bred in Montreal and works and lives there today with his wife Cindy. They have 3 children; Lesley, Daniel and Stephanie.

Favorite music: 60’s, Motown, Beatles, Kinks, Animals, etc (you know, the stuff we play).

Favorite bass: His Hofner violin bass.
